My own interpretation of "The Red Spot", a cautionary tale from the popular children's book, "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark", by Alvin Schwartz. I wanted to provide graphic and shocking imagery for the reader in order to prove a point. Its genre is horror, so the illustrations should scare the reader and encrypt morbid imagery into their minds in order to look at how they themselves would relate back to the character in this given scenario. The target audience of the book is for teenagers to young adults, I illustrated graphic imagery to disgust readers.
